July 29th, 2009

Cami, BP by Nordstrom
Dress, thrifted
Belt, Wet Seal
Cardigan, BP by Nordstrom
Shoes, Report

Schmitty wanted to be in the picture again.

Also, it's not straight because I took this by myself, with the camera being propped up on the couch. Yah... I am a pro! :)

I was wearing other shoes originally, but the feet decided it was time for a break.

Cami, BP by Nordstorm
Cardigan, Absolutely
Crop pants, Target brand (Merona?)
Shoes, Unknown (however, now that I think about it, I think I got them from either Target or WalMart...)
Necklace, Target, then altered by me

The weekend before this picture I was totally sick. This was my first day back, and I had to wear something comfy and easy. I think it worked!

June 24th 2009

Cami, Make + Model
Cardigan, BP by Nordstrom
Jeans, Hudson
Shoes, American Eagle

Today was my day off and boy did I need it! Basically just relaxed around the house and did some laundry. Later in the afternoon, Josh's sister and her husband came into town from Dayton, with his parents who are visiting right now, and we all went out to dinner. We went to an Indian place down by campus, which was pretty good, even though I don't like much Indian food.

Oh, and the little puppers, Schmitty, decided to join in the picture.

July 22nd 2009

It's been hectic with the Nordstrom Anniversary sale underway, so I apologize for the no-posting.

Cami, BP by Nordstrom
Dress, Susina (I think that's the brand)
Leggings, Hue
Shoes, Steve Madden
Necklace, made by me!

I have been basically wearing nothing but flats the whole sale. There has been just way too much running around to even wear my comfortable heels.

I swear, I am trying!

There has been so much going on, I haven't had time to update. Which is lame, because I think I've done some really cute outfits lately. Maybe I will do a post via Polyvore to recreate some of these outfits.

Not sure when these were, but here are two outfits for ya:

Brown cami, Forever21 Dress, Frills (by Nordstrom) Cardigan, Frenchi Brown footless tights, Hue Necklace, Nadri Sandals, WalMart

I saw the sandals Kendra (blog: Low Cost, High Style) posted here and had to have them. Josh bought them for me here in brown, but I have been debating going back and getting a second pair in either yellow or white. They are really comfy and have been holding up really well!

This is what we wore to our friends wedding a couple weekends ago. June 27th, to be exact!

I wish I could tell you what the hubby is wearing, but I don't know. Maybe he'll tell me, or I'll raid his side of the closet, to figure it out. Either way, this is what I am wearing!

Dress, Forever 21
Cardigan, BP by Nordstrom
(you can't see) Shoes, American Eagle

I wore the dress with bare legs. I couldn't decide if I wanted to wear black or white to the wedding, but finally decided on the white. I think it was the better choice. Thank you to Josh for helping me with that decision. :)

I also wish I would have gotten a full length photo, but this was taken after the wedding and reception, and about 6 or 7 glasses of wine. So, needless to say, I forgot.

I will try and get those Polyvore recreations up soon, at least of the outfits I can remember. If not, I will just try my hardest to take pictures before I leave for work in the mornings!!

Oh, happy days!

Minus the headache I had for about three hours, today has been a pretty good day!

About a month ago, I found out that I won a $100 gift card to onlineshoes.com from the lovely Tabitha over at Fashion Therapist. As excited as I was to find that awesome info out, with the move and the wedding, I was unable to check out the site and pick out some new goodies. I finally got around to it this week, and finally, today, decided on these shoes. All Report brand, which was weird, but oh well! They are cute, and look really comfy!

(Tan, Report Bonnie, reg. $114.95, sale for $45.98, photo from onlineshoes.com)
(Red, Report Rheanna, reg. $79.95, sale for $31.98, photo from onlineshoes.com)
(Grey, Report Gracia, reg. $74.95, sale for $29.98, photo from amazon.com)

Since all the shoes were on sale, that is already a $161.91 off of the regular prices. My total for the shoes was $107.94. After my $100 GC, I paid $7.94. For three pairs of shoes. I am a happy woman. I can't wait! Expect a "fashion show" when I get them in the mail!

Another good thing for all my views/readers out there... I am back with my job! Which means I am going to be dressing up again! Which means I am going to be posting and taking pictures again! Yayyy! I start on Saturday, so expect goodies starting then.

PS. Did I mention we got a new puppy two weeks ago when we got back from the wedding. He's adorable. He is a chocolate and tan, long haired, mini-dachshund (although he is the biggest in the litter and is expected to get almost as big as our standard doxie) and will be 10 weeks old on Thursday. His name is Schmitty and a total love bug. I won't lie to you, he is pretty much the cutest thing alive. Be prepared to have your heart melted....

Well, look who we have here...

Hello all, I'm back. Finally!

It's been the busiest month of my life this May. First, the 2,000 mile move to Columbus, Ohio! Let me tell you, those were two long days of driving. We finally got to Ohio and stayed the night with Josh's sister, Steph, then came to the C-bus the next day to get our apartment. I love this place! The apartment is fantastic and in a wonderful area. The complex has a work out facility, tanning, a pool, basketball... pretty neat compared to our place in New Mexico.

We were only in town a couple days before we had to get on an early flight back home to get married! That was the busiest, most stressful week I've ever had to endure. After the wedding, everything was smooth sailing! We had a bachelor/ette party (combined, coed, cause we have all the same friends!) on Thursday the 14th, a bridal shower for me on Friday the 15th, and then the day of the wedding on the 16th of May. The weather was the best I could ask for - 82 degrees and sunny! Which is amazing for the Pacific Northwest in May! We really lucked out. Other than that, we just hung out with family and friends. I miss home so much, but I don't know if I could live there again. I really just miss the friends and family that are out there. Columbus has been an amazing city thus far, we'll see how winter goes!

Now, onward to the pictures! I will get more of the bachelorette party and bridal shower from my camera, but for now, these are what I have! Enjoy! :) Also, I haven't gotten pictures back from the photographer yet, so these are basically just from friends and family! Better pics soon!

I got my dress online, from tikiboutique.com.
I just wanted something light, simple, and floor length. I got the sash just from Joanns, 3 inch craft ribbon! My Grandma made all the flowers too!

The next picture is of our wedding party - I told you it was small! Josh wore his black suit, red shirt, and a white tie - it was pretty sharp! Other than that, we let our best man and maid of honor wear whatever they wanted, as long as it was nice.

I'm ready for my close up

Erin over at Work With What You've Got wanted a close up of the ring, so here you are! :)
I tried to get it as clear as possible!
It's a 1.1 karat blue topaz with .25 karats of diamonds around the band and the topaz.
I am completely in love with it :) He did a good job.

Wedding plans

So, I still have not found a wedding dress, but that's okay. We're moving to Columbus in 10 days, and I'll be in Portland in 19. So I have tons of time. There are basically no bridal, prom, formal shops in Roswell to even look, so I'm stuck with online. And online purchases of clothing scare me, let alone this would be my wedding dress! My soon-to-be-sister-in-law and I are going shopping in Columbus, and then when I get back home my bestie and I are going out shopping as well.

But look how cute this outfit is! I'm thinking of wearing it to the bridal shower or the bachelor/ette party! Black, white and red are my wedding colors, by the way!

I have most of the other wedding plans settled, just have to get a CD for music and buy some decorations for the ceremony and reception. My mom picked up favor boxes and bubbles. We're going to make the bouquets/boutonnieres the day before the wedding, then save some flowers so we have petals for the flower girls to throw. My mother-in-law is going to make the cupcakes for the wedding cake. I'm really excited, everything is basically done! Wowee, I didn't think it would be that quick, haha. I am still stressin', but ya know, when you plan a wedding in a month, that is going to happen. :)

MORE NEWS.

I'M ENGAGED!!

:)

We have been talking about getting married for a while, but never thought it would be this quick. With our families the way they are, they are insisting on an actual wedding rather than waiting a while. So, we're getting married on May 16th. Of 2009. That's 29 days away.

That is also 11 days after we are expected in Ohio. Yes kids, I am moving 1300 miles away and two weeks later, having a wedding. What. The. Heck.

Either way, look at this ring! It's so pretty! Blue Topaz. With diamonds around it. Also, we got Josh's ring today. Now I have to find a dress, and decorations, and everything AHHH! I'm going to go insane. Yah.
