I got sick of my hair the other day, especially my bangs. So I cut them. What do you think? I also need to dye my hair again, my blonde roots are showing!

These are a new legging we have at work. I am IN LOVE with them. They are a microfiber capri body smoother (thus the name, Smoothies!) My only issue with them is that I feel they run small. I bought a medium and now I am thinking a large would have been better. I know these are a capri length, but they kept creeping up to right under my knee. If I pulled them back down, it would sag in the crotchular region (like that word?). Overall, I love em.

It was a good hair day. We also had about 9.5inches of snow fall overnight, so walking to the car, I forgot my boots and ended up soaking my feet. I had to go back into the house, change socks, change into my boots, and grab some towels to dry my work shoes.

I really liked the red shoes with the outfit. :)

I finally worked today, for the first time since last Saturday. I also have this super cute little bobby pin! It's pink rhinestones. Verrry cute! Also, I am in love with these pantyhose! I got them at the Cincinnati Nordstrom, we don't have them at our store. 2 for $14, a steal! They have lots of cute styles too, but they are supposed to be a one time deal, so if you're around a Nordstrom, stop by and check them out! :)

No work

If you work retail in January, you know how slow it is. That being said, I have only worked a few days since the last post. I work again this weekend, so be expecting some updates! For the time being, my girls and I made a trip down the Cincinnati Nordstrom Rack for some splurging. We also hit the Kenwood mall for some more shopping. Here are some goodies I bought!

Paige denim: Probably my best deal of the day! Very, very best! First, they started at $189 at the full line stores. They were at the rack for $79.97. They had a 40% off sticker on them. AND my employee discount brought them down to -GET THIS- around $36! AHH! Love it.

Forever 21 Lace dress (only I purchased it in black): $27.90 for my birthday in Cleveland!

Two Lips shows: Found at the Rack for $49.90 plus my discount

Forever 21 bobby pins, floral and rhinestones, $4.50 and $1.50 respectively

I also got three pairs of hose (one Calvin Klein at the Rack for $3.97, then two at Nordstrom for $14 plus discount)

I must say, it was a great shopping day. I haven't been able to do something like that with the girls in so long, since I've moved from Washington! It was great to have a day away, shopping, spending more money than I should have, and being able to spend it with some awesome girlfriends!

First post of 2010!

Technically, this is the first post of 2010 - however, it still contains photos of 2009. This year has flown by! So many wonderful thinks happened in '09 that I am so grateful for. I married an amazing man, moved across country (a couple times!), went back to school. I couldn't have done everything without the support of friends and family. This was a fabulous and fantastic year, I can only hope 2010 is even better than the last.

This is what I wore to work December 31st, 2009. I just got these shoes from Target, and I am loving them! They came in gray as well (which was the color that I really wanted), but I decided black was a better way to go. Since my puppers decided shoes were delish, especially Mommy's shoes, I have to re-establish my shoe wardrobe. This is my first new pair of black pumps.

(Yes, I almost killed my dog and made him into a coat when I found all the dead pairs of shoes. It was a good 13-15 pairs, I don't even know anymore. We're not just talking heels either, the majority of my flats have been consumed as well. The saddest part of my year for sure.)

Needless to say, I was feelin' foxy! If you don't remember, last year I didn't dress up or go out at all for New Years as we just got moved to New Mexico. This year I wanted to do it all! Champagne, dancing, friends. And we did! It was a great night for sure. AND! Check out the backs of these tights - LOVE. Yes, stars up the backseam! Love them. Check out your local Nordstrom, they were only $14!

Yes, there has been a four month break. Yes, I told you I wouldn't do that. I am sorry! In 2010, I am going to make it a resolution to take a picture everyday. At least every day I go to work! You might not get the schools days, since those mostly consist of sweats and hoodies.


Our stockings are still up, as well as the tree. It was a great Christmas. I got a lovely new Coach purse from my hubby as well as some movies, bath soaps, new tights, and a Barnes and Noble gift card! Plus, tons of chocolate. Gotta love it!

The weekend before this picture I was totally sick. This was my first day back, and I had to wear something comfy and easy. I think it worked!

Minus the headache I had for about three hours, today has been a pretty good day!


About a month ago, I found out that I won a $100 gift card to onlineshoes.com from the lovely Tabitha over at Fashion Therapist. As excited as I was to find that awesome info out, with the move and the wedding, I was unable to check out the site and pick out some new goodies. I finally got around to it this week, and finally, today, decided on these shoes. All Report brand, which was weird, but oh well! They are cute, and look really comfy!

Since all the shoes were on sale, that is already a $161.91 off of the regular prices. My total for the shoes was $107.94. After my $100 GC, I paid $7.94. For three pairs of shoes. I am a happy woman. I can't wait! Expect a "fashion show" when I get them in the mail!


Another good thing for all my views/readers out there... I am back with my job! Which means I am going to be dressing up again! Which means I am going to be posting and taking pictures again! Yayyy! I start on Saturday, so expect goodies starting then.


PS. Did I mention we got a new puppy two weeks ago when we got back from the wedding. He's adorable. He is a chocolate and tan, long haired, mini-dachshund (although he is the biggest in the litter and is expected to get almost as big as our standard doxie) and will be 10 weeks old on Thursday. His name is Schmitty and a total love bug. I won't lie to you, he is pretty much the cutest thing alive. Be prepared to have your heart melted....

Yesterday was supposed to be a wonderful date night for my love and I. However, I decided to get the flu instead. I started getting sick on Friday, I felt a tickle in the throat. Wake up on Saturday, achey, fever, sore throat - basically, I feel like I am going to die. I stayed in bed all day, felt the same on Sunday morning. Went to work, then came back and went straight to bed again. By the end of the day, I was sick and tired of staying inside, haha! So, I chugged some Alka-Seltzer Flu medicine, popped a couple ibuprofen, and we went to dinner.


So, if you couldn't tell before, that is why my face and expression is completely dead, haha!


I am feeling a little bit better today, still really sore, but oh well.

Also, I dyed my hair a little darker, can ya tell??

I have a couple things to post. First, the outfit I wore today. After that, some little goodies I've bought the last couple weeks.


The shirt I am wearing today is something I got at Sears last night. It was the Friends and Family night, we got an extra 20% off on apparel. Josh got some slacks and red plaid shorts for less than $30. I got this shirt for less that $5, and a blue dress for less than $8. I'll try and get a picture of the dress, it's really, really cute. We also got a very exciting new garbage disposal. Yahhh, cool, huh? :)


Also, please ignore my hair. I just got back from a softball game in the freezing cold wind. Stupid New Mexico and your crazy winds...



















A couple weeks back, Josh and I had to go to Albuquerque for three days for a high school basketball tournament (for you that don't know, Josh, my main squeeze, is a sports editor for the local paper). I got this AMAZING tee from Buffalo Exchange for $8.50. Heck yah, TRANSFORMERS! :) I was excited. I also got this gorgeous hounds tooth trench for $8.50. It was $17, and on the extra 50% clearance rack. I love it, it's exactly what I've been looking for. Pictures of that later, when I wear it.

This was a fun outfit. I really felt comfortable and cute in it! Especially with the scarf and shoes matching together so perfectly! And the big ol' rhinestones on the shoes... One of my faves for sure!

I wore the cardigan most of the day, because Josh and I went out to dinner and went to a basketball game. However, the shirt has some really cute details on the sleeves. Of course, I failed to take a picture, but they are ruffles with rhinestones and sequins all over. Very cute! :)
