Urgh.

This summer was horrible. After two deaths in the family within an 8 day span, I really didn't want to post ANYTHING on here. It's fall, I am doing better, and finally starting to play with fashion and styles again.

Of course, today is my day off from work, so I am wearing sweats and an Ohio State hoodie. :) Stay turned for tomorrow's post, I go to work tomorrow so I will be dressing cuuute.

Looking through my previous posts trying to find these shoes really makes me miss all of my shoes I used to have, before I got a puppy. I really need to start redoing my shoe wardrobe. Slowly, but surely, I will have my closet full of lovely pumps and wedges with some cute flats thrown in. :) In the mean time, I will pull out some of those shoes that didn't get chewed up and eaten by said puppy. New shoes!

I am sick today. I have been working more hours and still going to school full time, so these last couple weeks have been pretty hectic. Josh had to quit his job due to health concerns from the office building. Everything is okay now, and he is actually off at a job interview right now. In the mean time, I am sick at home, not going to school, and debating on taking a shower and dragging myself down to the DMV to get some thing done. I might be sick, but I have no idea when I am going to get these DMV issues done, so I suppose I might as well get up and do that.

Onto something at least fashion related: I just got these shoes at my local Target last night. How cute are they! They are going to be perfect for summer, with the peep toe and faux-wood heel. I'll be able to mix them with my fall and winter things too, with them being that gorgeous bronze color. The best part? They were on clearance! $12.something cents. They are regular price on the website, so I am very pleased with the purchase. Stay tuned for an outfit post including these sukkas.

I just got this belt on clearance at Target. I had been staring at it every time we go to Target and it finally went on sale for $4.50 from $16.99! So excited.

I was tired all day at work. We went to the Sublime concert last night after I picked up a shift at work. It was AHHH-MAZING! So, so, so good. Rome (the new lead singer) did an incredible job.

Sorry for the lack of posts. We moved last weened so, even though I have been working more lately and thus having cuter outfits than when I just go to school or sit around the house, I have been so busy and tired that when I get home, I get straight into sweats or PJs and go to bed.

*I think it came from a random dress or skirt somewhere, but have long lost that piece of clothing. I could have gotten it somewhere else, I really have no idea. I do know that it's a great wrap belt and have had it for YEARS!

Today had to be a very comfortable and easy day. The last day I had off was spent feeling horrible and sickly on the couch and in bed watching TV and napping. I still didn't feel like going to work, but a girls gotta make some money. 

That being said, that is the last I said. I lost my voice and can't speak like a normal person now. If you happen to come across my voice, please return it - I work the next four days and really need to convince people they need to buy vast amounts of new bras. Thanks.

I was sick yesterday (Happy Easter to meee) and today I was kinda sorta feeling better and wanted to over compensate my feeling bad by looking good. Hopefully that last sentence made sense.

The skirt isn't as long as it looks in this photo. I am not sure what the hubs did, but I look very short and stubby.

It was absolutely gorgeous out today and perfect weather for taking pics outside. That being said, it is now a full on thunderstorm out there. Gotta love the Midwest. :)

I just bought this ring the other day (check out the link) when I had some returns to give back to Forever 21, and desperately needed to find a black dress for a friends 21st birthday. It is super cute and will probably be worn a lot by me!

It was a gorgeous 82 degrees in Columbus, so out came the sandals and dress! You can tell it was so soon after winter, with my legs in all their white pasteyness, ick. I just spent the day around the house, walking the pups, and finally getting some ice cream from Jeni's*.
 



* Jeni's is probably the best ice cream in the entire world. Absolutely AHHHH-MAZING. If we ever move away from Columbus, I am probably going to miss that place the most.

All natural.

I have been toying with the idea of going back to my natural hair color. That is blonde, blonde, blonde! Thanks to my Norwegian genes (I am half Norwegian btw) my hair is very fine, there's a lot of it, and it's very blonde. As you know by following this blog, I get very bored with my hair and dye it quite frequently. I've done it all - long, short, brown, blonde, red, bangs, no bangs... and now I am getting bored again with the brown.

The only thing that makes me nervous about the blonde is that I always feel like it washes me out. I feel like I have to be really tan in order to pull off my natural blonde haircolor, which is why, even when I go back to blonde, I tend to do a strawberry-blonde or dirty blonde.


That being said, I haven't been blonde since September 2008. And I think it's time. Since I have the bangs now too, I am thinking something along these lines would still work for me.

Anyone have any suggestions? :)

This was my "night out" outfit. I wore basically this to work. The only differences were I wore this 3/4 sleeve cardigan buttoned up over the dress with a belt and the Hot Kiss shoes.

I had to close, and the boys were all at home waiting for me so we could head out. I realized after I had already changed that I forgot to get a picture of my work clothes!

The hubs looked good as well! His belt buckle was his bit of green for the night. He also thought the Red Sox hat was Irish enough. ;)

I got sick of my hair the other day, especially my bangs. So I cut them. What do you think? I also need to dye my hair again, my blonde roots are showing!

These are a new legging we have at work. I am IN LOVE with them. They are a microfiber capri body smoother (thus the name, Smoothies!) My only issue with them is that I feel they run small. I bought a medium and now I am thinking a large would have been better. I know these are a capri length, but they kept creeping up to right under my knee. If I pulled them back down, it would sag in the crotchular region (like that word?). Overall, I love em.

Here is an up close shot of the tights and the shoes. I desperately needed some new black flats - the ones from Wal-Mart were just not cutting it lately. I picked these up at Famous Footwear for about $30 after tax. They are nice, I just need to break them in (they rub on the ankles).

Overall, I REALLY liked this outfit! I have seen some gals post using a dress as a skirt, and I couldn't figure out how I could pull something like that off.

I forgot to catch a photo of my work outfit for the 6th, but I basically have worn this before here (the first outfit). Only, this time, I wore nude fishnets (Hue), and my new black shoes that I wore on the 5th.

I really loved this outfit, but I think it would have been better with simple black ballet flats.

However, these little sock liners are wonderful! Not only do they help my feet from smelling in my work shoes, but they are super cute! We have them at work right now for like $5 in leopard and zebra (what I am wearing). I love them!
